I expect the world to respond generously to the life I am living. I do good work because my intelligence tells me I must generate all the life I expect to experience. I do good work because I know it is my joyful obligation and because I understand that the Creative Intelligence that made it so will always lead me to let it be so. I proclaim to God, to myself, and for all to hear: “I do good work.”
I have no fear of being imperfect. I accept all my human “imperfections” knowing that I do good work because the Perfect Mind of God always succeeds perfectly through all I do. I do not have to change my human nature to do good work. I merely have to proclaim my divine ideal, and the nature of God does the best for me, elaborating upon all that is good and transcending the rest.
When I proclaim, “I do good work,” I am announcing my commitment, not describing my history. I judge myself only by my present awareness of my great worth. In affirming this commitment, I develop this tendency. I create a life of ever greater value.
